| Success Story |
Sheila (name changed to maintain confidentiality) had come from a background of spousal and drug abuse. Even though she was 49 years old, she was processing information on a 6th grade level. Her ability to function in society was limited and at one point she lived in a cardboard box under I-35. She came to us as a non-believer, with the clothes on her back, no front teeth and no self-esteem. She was able to graduate from the program 2 years later and exhibited remarkable growth including:
- Dedicated her life to Christ
- Provided her testimony in front of an audience of 250 people
- Working full time at a retail store
- Successfully living on her own

| Alumni Quotes |
"After my husband died suddenly, I became unable to care for myself. As a result, I became homeless and was introduced to Providence Homes. This has given me hope for the future. God only knows where I would be. You feel nothing but love here, even if you do not want it. God has truly blessed me."
"As a result of being raped, I entered a temporary shelter where I learned about the Providence Homes. While at the Providence House, I have been able to heal spiritually, emotionally and mentally. I am now able to rebuild relationships in my life. I would not have made it if it were not for Providence House. My life is changing for the better."
